How to Feed Triops Nauplii in the First Days of Life
Triops nauplii should be fed carefully to avoid overfeeding. Start 24 hours after hatching with a small amount of algae powder (about a toothpick tip), dissolved in water and gently pipetted into the tank. The water should only be slightly green to avoid compromising water quality. For the first 3–5 days, this method is sufficient before gradually introducing growth food.

When the Triops reach about 3 mm (0.12 inches) in size, reduce the algae powder and supplement with small amounts of growth food. Any leftover food should be removed after an hour at most to keep the water clean. Once the pellets are completely consumed, you can switch exclusively to growth food until your Triops are around 14 days old.

How Often Should I Feed Triops?
Triops should be fed according to their age and needs. In the first 24 hours after hatching, they rely on their yolk sac and microorganisms in the water. From this point onward, it’s advisable to feed the animals 2–3 times daily. Once the Triops transition to growth food (after about 3–5 days), feeding should ideally occur 3 times daily. However, this can be adjusted based on the size, number, and behavior of the animals.
